This short post is directed to the guy in the grey VW Jetta I crossed on the highway, for doing what is described in the image on the top left corner.

Kinja'd!!!

Dear idiot,

if you’re in the slow lane, doing 50, and someone doing 75 in, say, a black kia, is about to overtake you, you can’t suddenly camp in both lanes. Why? who knows.

Maybe you don’t like how fast I was going, maybe you saw some sort of obstacle that was invisible to me, maybe you were falling asleep and the screeching brakes and horn woke you up.

Either way. eat a bag of your least prefered human genitals.

asshole.

You are not allowed to take your half in the middle.

I do not like this graphic. Mainly because I feel like X-ing out the no instead of the bad behavior isn’t quite right.

Also I’m curious as to whether that’s a specific car, or just a generic stand-in for ‘70-’80 sedan.

I’d guess generic.

Interesting, impromptu  second lanes are legal wherever that diagram is from. MA drivers ed never mentioned the idea and I figured the unofficial extra turn lane was a “eh, who cares, it helps traffic flow so why bother enforcing it” gray area.

I see it in E urope all the time, here I see them do the opposite, they place width restrictors at  intersections in order to slow people down and make sure it’s only one lane.

As someone whose gotten a ticket for “passing on the right” (ie: going onto the very wide  shoulder in order to make a right turn at a traffic light while the other cars were stopped on red)...it varies by jurisdiction.
